Your data is stored in European data centres. 

It is stored for 3 years following your last commercial contact with us. Commercial contact means an online purchase or made in one of our stores, opening a Promod message that we sent you or when you connect to one of our brand digital spaces (Promod websites, application).

Visiting the promod.com website

When you visit our internet www.promod.com website, certain data for using your internet navigator is transmitted to us for technical reasons and are registered in daily logs, known as log files. These concern the following data: date and hour of the request to connect to our internet page; number of the internet page requested, your computer IP address or that of your mobile device, webpage address through which you have accessed our internet page, the volume of data transmitted as well as the name and version of your navigator. The analysis of log files helps us to enhance our website offers and to manage them to make for more enjoyable browsing, to detect errors more quickly and put them right, as well as adjusting server capacity. Thanks to log files, we can spot at which moment our web offers are consulted, most helpful to us, so that we can provide the right volume adapted to the data that will ensure your best user experience possible.

Saving for Customer Account

You voluntarily enter personal data to set-up your customer account on our website. For certain personal data, entering the correct data is absolutely imperative. This obligation concerns the following data: first name, family name, email address, password. The data relating to the customer account can be consulted and modified by the customer at any moment. Lastly, you can request the complete deletion of your customer account.

Use of our website as a registered customer

Execution of the Contract

The processing of your data is necessary for the execution of sales contracts or providing service. It is the legal framework to execute online sales (dealing with orders, delivery), interactions with clients, managing the loyalty programme and the e-reservation of products. This can include sending service messages such as the transmission of an e-receipt.

Legal obligations

Processing data is necessary to respect legal obligations. 

This is the legal basis upon which invoices are transmitted, dispatched and stored, but also for you to exercise your rights, outlined below or to make claims regarding our products or services.

Legitimate interest

Promod uses this database for: 

• Customer segmentation (See article 2).
• Sending a customer satisfaction survey about sales processes and the quality of services and products. 
• The analysis and improvement of our site roadmap. 
• Centralisation of customer behavior data for targeting advertising and/or creating sales statistics.

Consent

Processing of your data may also require your consent. Certain data processing cannot de done unless requested of you or you specifically authorise it Data processing is necessary to allow PROMOD to ensure continuous and enhanced services. 

Promod uses this data processing for: 

• Sending you an e-receipt electronically 
• Send you a newsletter 
• Send promotional offers, exclusive promotions, new-in information or personalised information adapted to your user profile 
• Creating a user account 
• Geolocalisation of your computer or smartphone 
• Creating and using cookies

A lack of consent, for one or more of the above purposes, means that sales contracts or provision of services will not be carried out

We are entitled to collect your data and use, transfer, safeguard or process it or transmit it to third party companies (auxiliary) to the extent that this transmission is necessary for the execution of the contract. These entities are required, to the same degree as Promod, to ensure data protection. 

We are sometimes called upon to use external providers for certain processing, such as analysing customer opinions. The data is transmitted in an anonymous manner (so your addresses and information about your identity are not included), or if this is not the case, the provider commits to not using it for their own needs nor to communicate them to a third party. These entities are also obliged,to the same degree that Promod itself is, to ensure personal data protection. 

To ensure security of payments, the website promod.eu uses a secure payment service. This service includes the security norm Secure Socket Layer (SSL). Confidential data (the 16-figure credit card number, the expiry date as well as the crypotogram) are directly transmitted via encryption to servers managing this service without passing through the physical Promod servers.

We also collaborate with many third party entities (Facebook, Google) to manage part of our advertising on other websites. These third parties are likely to use cookies and web beacons to collect information (such as your IP address) relating to your activities on Promod websites and other websites, to target Promod advertising based on your interests. We transmit your family name, first name, postal address, email address and telephone number to transporters who deliver your orders.

On our internet pages, we use "cookies", comprising little text files registered in your computer or portable device when you visit one of our internet pages. We intend to fully inform you about how we use cookies.

In accordance with European regulation no (EU) 2016/679 regarding personal data protection, you have the following rights concerning your data: right to access, right to amend, right to remove (right to be forgotten), right to opposition, right to limiting processing, right to portability. You can also define how you wish personal data to be stored, deleted and communicated after decease. 
If you have created an account on our website, you can modify yourself your personal data in your customer space. You can, for reasons relating to your specific situation, oppose data processing about you.
